The Moon is a perfect way to harness energy and depending on the phase and season, they all have times where a different type of spell or intention works better than another Moon phase. The Moon is connected to so many areas in our lives, our reproductive cycles, our energy, mood and even the tides. The Moon is important to life on Earth because it plays a big role in many areas like the weather, migration cycles of some animals, Earth’s magnetic field, evolution, and it is even one of the main reasons why days are 24 hours long.
Moon magic has a beautiful history that goes back to the dawn of time. We define 7 Magical Phases of the Moon that have distinct energies to enhance your personal magic. The cycle of the Moon incorporates the full spectrum of the Yin and Yang energy. Yin is represented by creative, nurturing, planting, dark energy. Yang energy is active, outward moving, fulfilment, harvest, light energy. The change in the balance between light and dark gives us opportunities for different types of magic and self-reflection in each phase. Many Witches and Pagans believe that working magic on a Full Moon means greater long-term outcomes. It doesn’t mean you need a broom stick, have green hair and cackle. Far from it, you see we are all capable of harnessing the energy that is around us, it all comes down to intention and our own thoughts, energy and will. It is a misconception that being a witch is what you see in Disney films, in fact it simply represents “Wise Woman” you are simply using the Moons energy as it connects to us, it will amplify your intentions and increase the power of what is is you are manifesting. Following your intuition is a huge side to our sway method, this doesn’t mean take risks based on a hunch, but it does mean at times when you are feeling more anxious around attempting your sway, you can lean on your inner self and feel more confident and connected to push forward knowing you are doing all that you can to bring your spirit baby earthside, and for that baby to be the gender you are hoping for. To trust the Moon, yourself and your spirit baby will help you on this journey, and we want you to have a positive, uplifting experience as we know first hand that swaying for your baby is a an emotional and at times, difficult process. We want you to feel empowered, confident and most importantly successful. The Moon just keeps on giving. Astrology literally means ‘language of the stars.’ When working with astrology you closely align yourself to the earth's natural rhythms. Throughout the ages the Moon has stood for femininity and fertility, including the animal kingdom and growth in plants. We look closer at Astrology to aid fertility, and of course…select our desired gender in our main book. There are several types of Moon signs; traditional astrology has certain rules on which Moon signs are more fertile than others. The Moon in Cancer and the Moon in Taurus, for example, are top the list. Cancer and Taurus both symbolize care as one example of many.
What is an intention?
Put plainly, an intention is a clear plan you set for your life. "Intentions help us take deliberate action, consciously choosing our direction, like aiming an arrow at a bull’s-eye," once we set our intention, which includes what we want to do, and how we want to feel as we do it, our next best steps become clear. Without intention, magic doesn’t work.
